This Queen Anne roof and solar project in Seattle, WA combined a complete roof replacement with a 3.9 kW grid-tied solar installation. Pinnacle Roofing Professionals installed a CertainTeed Northgate SBS shingle roof first, then added the solar array to a steep 12/12 pitched roof, removing an unused chimney to maximize usable roof space.
Project Overview: Queen Anne Roof & Solar Installation
Located on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, this home needed a roof that would last as long as the solar panels above it. The Pinnacle Roofing crew stripped the old roof and installed CertainTeed Northgate SBS modified asphalt shingles, a flexible, impact-resistant system that performs well in the Pacific Northwest. With the new roof in place, we installed a 3.9 kW solar array using Itek Energy modules and Enphase Energy equipment. An unused chimney was removed to open up more roof area for solar production.
