Description:

Kirkland IB PVC Roof Project
Pinnacle Roofing Professionals completed this Kirkland, Washington IB PVC roof project by removing a composition shingle roof that was failing prematurely. We upgraded the insulation over the cathedral ceiling areas with Roxul insulation, installed a 50-mil brown PVC membrane by IB Roof Systems, and rebuilt the chimney from the roof line up to ensure a complete, watertight roofing system.
Why Switch from Shingles to IB PVC?
- Flat and low-slope suitability: PVC membrane is engineered for areas where shingles are not ideal, such as low-slope sections and modern architectural roof forms.
- Watertight seams: Heat-welded seams create a continuous, monolithic waterproof barrier.
- UV and weather resistance: The 50-mil membrane stands up to Kirkland’s rain, sun, and temperature swings.
- Insulation upgrade opportunity: With the roof open, we added Roxul insulation to improve thermal and acoustic performance over cathedral ceilings.
- Integrated chimney rebuild: Rebuilding the chimney from the roof line up eliminated a common leak point and tied the system together properly.
IB PVC Roof Installation in Kirkland
This project demonstrates the value of a complete system approach: tear-off, insulation upgrade, membrane installation, and chimney rebuild all handled by one contractor. Single-source responsibility helps ensure the roof, insulation, and masonry work together under one warranty.
